There a number of issues here that we hope people can help us with. Joining same materials onto each other is relatively easy, however, you might be looking to extend a solid walled house with a light weight timber frame. The junctions between the two and the difference in thermal properties etc may all be a cause of problems, so we hope to slowly generate a series of specifications and advice that will help to alleviate any of these issues.
