Practical Green Building Courses

RDE runs a number of practical green building courses in Wales. If you are interested in constructing a natural building and want to learn on the way contact our Training and Education Officer on training@rounded-developments.org.uk.

As an example......

RDE has been running a multi-disciplined natural building course with Bryncynon Strategy in Abercynon. This is an innovative build working with a range of volunteers from the local area and beyond.

The structure that is being built is a storage area for the Green Field site. It will have earthship (tyres rammed with earth) foundations, a cob main structure and a lime render and wood finish. RDE in partnership with the group is developing OCN accreditation to allow participants to gain a recognised qualification from it.

The build is progressing well, as of July 09, and should be complete by the end of the year.
