Fillers are notoriously difficult to work with. Going off quickly, setting hard as nails and they are not breathable. Older buildings are really crying out for a softer, easier to work with filler that provides an excellent smooth finish and also complements older structures like lime plaster.

For external or internal work earthBorn have a casein filler. This is lime based and hence can be used for external work as well. It comes in 0.5kg or 2kg bags. Again it is easy to work with and creates a smooth and lasting repair.
