AURO decorating products are good for you and good for the environment. They stand out among manufacturers of natural paints and wood finishes because they have always been totally committed and uncompromising in their environmental standards.
They do not use petrochemicals in their products. They also ensure that natural raw materials come from environmentally managed sources and are produced using a sustainable ecological cycle. For example, much of the raw linseed oil used in their paints is organically grown close to the factory and any waste product and excess paint can be composted.
Auro paints are breathable and are based on natural ingredients and plant and mineral pigments. The wood finishes are micro-porous so they don’t flake, peel or blister and are easily maintainable. The use of natural and plant based ingredients means that allergy sufferers and people who are chemically sensitive are more able to tolerate Auro products.
Perhaps it is not surprising then, that in 2003 Auro was voted ‘Favourite Ethical (DIY) Product’ by readers of ‘Ethical Consumer’ Magazine! Several Auro products have also been recommended by the stringent German environmental ‘Oko Test’ Magazine.
We have access to the full range of Auro products including wood finishes, stains and waxes, ranges of fillers, adhesives, polishes, glues, paint brushes and rollers. Please enquire about any product that you see on the Auro website, as all will be available through RDE.

The paints are available in three main types, the 320, the 321 and the 324.
The 320 is their economy white paint and is great for undercoating / priming walls. Available in 5l and 10l sizes only.
The 321 is their standard quality paint and is a really good product. It requires two coats generally and is applied like conventional paint. The paint has a citrus aroma that many people find pleasant, so you know that you are using a natural product. Click here to buy Auro paints.
The 324 is a new and improved hard wearing paint. This has a higher natural oil content that makes it superb for high trafffic areas like corridors and where you need wipe clean surfaces like utility rooms. The 324 has a smaller colour range due to the strong pigments making the paint less robust. The higher oil content also means that you get a satin-matt finish rather than the matt of the 321 and 320.
A brand new concept in paint - Airfresh Paint actually helps to clean the air of pollutants. It has a photocatalytic effect that splits up odours and pollutants into neutral substances. It is a low odour, solvent free paint with a higher alcalinity. It works best in well lit and ventilated rooms, but will work effectively under artificial light. Click here to buy Auro Airfresh paint
