A Sustainable Building Wiki
Thanks to a grant from Environment Wales we have been able to create a wiki (an open editable website) where people can post up their experiences, top tips etc on their particular sustainable building project. The idea being that by sharing real life experiences that we can minimise the chances of new projects going wrong. In other words a resource where you can learn from other's mistakes / success storieswithout the pain of going through them.
For the time being we are looking to people and organisations to populate the site with their knowledge and once we reach a critical mass we shall launch it to the world as a valuable resource. So please contribute what you can and pass the word onto others who might be able to share their experiences.
We are still mid-move as we need to put a new roof on the office and also set out the training and education area upstairs, but the shop part of the centre is now functioning, so please pop in to have a look around. We shall be open as normal from the 12th May. Our new number is 029 20373094, but the old number is also being diverted.
The new centre is at:
Directions to the centre can be found here
We are opposite the car park and very close to the Bike Shed.
Thanks for your patience and we look forward to a new centre that is more accessible, has a dedicated training room and also a range of new products to make your homes more sustainable.
The UK Government has recently launched a new site called Act on CO2 where you can work out your carbon footprint. To access this site and see where you can make improvements click here
