NEW LUNCH TIME SUSTAINABLE BUILDING SEMINARS from Wales' leadings professionals.

Throughout the summer and into the winter the centre will be hostings weekly Wednesday lunchtime sessions on a wide variety of topics from renewables to strawbales and exploring into the increasing important realms of airtightness and material symbiosis. Sessions will feature a lovely ethical lunch and time at the end for discussions and individual questions.

Energy in the City

PV and Solar thermal panels in CardiffThis will be a series of two hour sessions running in the evening that explore the opportunities for generating electricity and heat in an urban environment. We shall cover: solar thermal; solar PV; micro wind power; the new Feed-in-Tariffs; and the potentially forthcoming Renewable Heat Incentive. The aim is to give you a background to each of these technologies, to explain what each will and won't do and cover payback periods and costs. There will also be stands from reputable and well established renewable energy installers in the centre.

Natural Paint Making

Severn Road school recently came over to the Eco Home Centre to do make some of their own organic paint with out Training and Education Officer and they created a lovely colourful dragon in true Welsh style!
