Preventive & protective against rot, blue stain and mildew
Description
OS COLOR WR BASE COAT AQUA is a clear wood impregnation for exterior use. It is a preventive preservative againt vegetable pests such as blue stain, rot and mildew.
OS COLOR WR BASE COAT AQUA penetrates easily and deepy into the wood, is water repellent, and reduces swelling and shrinking. It has a very low odour during application and is completely odourless when dry.
OS COLOR WR BASE COAT AQUA is furnished with active ingredients against blue stain, rot and mildew in accordance with the latest results in technical research, and is in accordance with rules and regulations now valid in countries of the European Community.
Approvals
This product is approved under the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986, for use as directed. HSE no. 7170.
In accordance with EURO NORM Standard Specifications EN 113 (RAL) and EN 152.
The principle of OS COLOR to manufacture and supply only products which are safe and environmentally friendly during production as well as for application resulted in the successful certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 (quality management) and DIN EN ISO 14001 (environmental management) by the TÜV (Technical Control Board) Rhineland.
Uses
Protective treatment of all exterior woodwork.
Application rate
Apply 160-200 ml of product per square metre of timber surface
Surface preparation
Wood surface must be clean, dry (maximum moisture content 20 %), and free from old paints and stains. It must also be unfrozen.
Compatibility
Can be used under waxes, stains, paints, varnishes. Compatible with all commonly used glues and putties (except products containing silicone).
Corrosion
The use of galvanized or non-oxidizing nails and fasteners is recommended.
Method of application
By brushing or brushing machine, dipping, or spraying in an enclosed apparatus.
OS COLOR WR BASE COATAQUA is ready to use - please do not thin. Apply liberally - on all sides of the wood if possible.

Further treatment of the wood
OS COLOR WR BASE COATAQUA is not a finishing treatment.
To ensure longlasting beauty and achieve full protection of the wood, surface must be treated with a protective wood finish (such as OS COLOR ONE COAT ONLY, WOOD OILS, Opaque Gloss Wood Stain, Country Colour, Fence and Garden Stain
