Many solid walled homes are difficult to treat against damp. Cavities and fissures mean that conventional pressure injections just don't work very well. By using a cream you get to put the damp-proofing material where it is needed. Then over a short period of time it diffuses into the lime mortar to create a damp proof layer in the wall.
The Eco Home Centre staff and volunteers have tried out a few of these creams on their own homes and the best that we have found is the DryZone one. It has the highest concentration of silicones thus making it the most effective. However it does need a specialist gun to apply the cream, so the Eco Home Centre has invested in one that is available for hire, thus cutting the costs on what should be a once only application.

The Eco Home Centre has a variable scale of charges for the Dryzone products dependent on the number of tubes required.
