Windows are a really important element to a building. They provide a sense of character to the visual aesthetic and are also important for providing natural light, ventilation and also for energy saving.
At the centre you can see windows from Coed Derwen (locally sourced and made Hard Wood Windows), NorDan and Vrogrum. The latter two both produce Passiv Haus standard windows. These are very efficient windows that have a 'U' value of approx. 0.7. This compares to the new Part L requirement of 2.0. With the pressure mounting for Zero Carbon Housing, these windows will become more and more important in obtaining these standards.
NorDan windows have the option of a special aluminium cladding system that will give windows an exceptionally long life span - the life of the house basically. So if you are looking for a fit and forget option then look no further. uPVC does not give you this as it does degrade (life expectancy of approx. 15 years) and is, of course, not a renewable material.
Rounded Developments is available to source Coed Derwen and NorDan windows for you, so pop into the centre, phone or email us to discuss your requirements.
